The Death of Valhelmoin - IV to VII
Chapter 4
The Canticle of Death
We move forward, shedding our body
to a higher place of existence
We move forward bearing our efforts in this life
that we may be approved by the Gods
We move forward, seeking eternal respite for those that came before us that we may
move forward once more
We move forward and move forward until respite calls us home
Chapter 5
Moeverell fluttered back and forth, waiting for someone to arrive at her door. She was interested in finding out what happened that night, and she had friends who were forensic doctors too. These were what she was waiting for. A call, a visitation from one of them who worked on the regicide case.
There it was, the knock on the door. Moeverell rushed to open it and saw a bespectacled lagomorph centaur at her doorstep.
"Nalomi!" Moeverell exclaimed.
"Moe!" the rabbit taur replied back, "You won't believe the autopsy of the body."

"Come in and show me. I need to know how and who did this," Moeverell replied.
The rabbittaur hopped inside the familiar home of her friend, wiping her feet at the rug. "I'm truly sorry for your loss, Moe. Val was a great friend to you, to me even." Nalomi set the folder down on the table as Moe grabbed two cups of water for them both. Then, she opened the folder. A few pictures and an artist's impression of Valhelmoin's body in lateral position appeared. Four large circles were drawn on her body: one on the chest, one on the thorax, and two on the rear abdomen. Beside it was a handwritten note: Corpse contains traces of electricity, possibly beyond lethal dose for electric elementals. (950W at least).
"Holy shit," Moeverell replied, "the murderer knows her biology."

"How so?" Nalomi asked.
"Our butts are great insulators, so Val's electric tolerance is high. Being part elemental, hers exceeds physical limits," Moe replied, "This means she was pierced before she was fried."
"But who would do that to her?" Nalomi asked.

"Only someone who knows how to kill electricity based casters or elementals," Moe replied.

Chapter 7
A single night was all it took for an entire planet to change. Haveni turned from a tropical paradise to a military dystopia, all with the goal of putting the Empires under its leadership. Now it was mobilizing quickly, and Sashalvik would be noticing it first.

The other militaristic planets would also start to mobilize, most of them defending against the impending threat that was Haveni. Inside the Chamber, all the leaders gathered together, awaiting to meet who would replace the late Valhelmoin in her duties. Cammarin held a straight face on the outside, but her blood boiled on the inside. She read the book the councilwoman gave her too, but that didn't bring her closer to the truth. At least not yet.
